A
networking event designed to bring marketers and clients together is returning
to the West Side next month at the Sweet_ness 7 Cafe at 220 Grant St.
While specifically aimed at marketing professionals, others can
benefit from the event as well, said Nicholas Heim, who said he got the idea
for the gathering from attending HubSpot conferences..HubSpot is an inbound
marketing tool that features using social media to connect clients with
marketers at specific stages of their needs.
“There’s
really a need in the area for people to meet up to speak on commonalities and
marketing and anyone who is a business owner, marketing-oriented, entrepreneur
or marketer can get something out of it, ” Heim said.
The
event will be held at 6 p.m., June 10 and is open to public at no cost. The first event attracted 35 attendees who had traveled from as far away as Toronto
and Rochester to make new connections. The
café was chosen specifically because Heim wanted to contribute to helping the
area continue its recent upswing.
“The
West Side is really doing well, but it hasn’t completely turned over yet, ”
Heim said. “I want to bring in some
people from surrounding areas and communities, like Amherst, who normally
wouldn’t venture to that area.”
Café
owner Prish Moran said she enjoys holding these types of events.
“We loved having Nick and his group and look forward to
their return in June,” Moran said. By Jeffrey Mayne
