The Benchmark Group’s yearlong
construction project on the parking lot at 766 Elmwood Ave., between Globe
Market and 7-Eleven, is set to be complete by summer of 2015. The project, which
began over the summer, consists of a three-story building with a first floor
retail space and two floors of apartments. Rent for the apartment spaces will
range from $1,400 to $1,500. Businesses to fill the retail space have yet to be
announced. There will be 24 private parking spaces underneath the building for
tenants of the apartments. Karl Frizlen, project architect,
